About Embodiment

What is Embodiment?

In the dictionary, Embodiment is defined as the process of giving physical form or representation to abstract concepts or ideas. It involves manifesting intangible thoughts, emotions, or beliefs into tangible and perceivable entities.

But Embodiment is much more than that, it is "the way we are, the way we feel, relate and do". Beyond body awareness, it represents the bridge between our internal experiences and the external world, providing a means for self-expression and understanding.

Where does Embodiment Coaching comes from?

Embodiment as a field comes from a variety of body-mind disciplines including: 

  • martial arts

  • yoga

  • meditation

  • bodywork

  • somatic psychotherapies

  • improvisation

  • conscious dance
